Yesterday, a story about a daughter of a popular Cabinet Secretary who terrorized a family in Kayole estate over the weekend went viral. Sources close to the family are quoted as saying they were having a house party in the same estate where the CS’s daughter lives who did not like the idea of them throwing a bash.

Eve Kaimenyi (the daughter of the CS) is said to have called policemen, who threw teargas canisters inside the house where the party was going down, leaving children and women among them a heavily pregnant woman injured. Eva Kaimenyi is a magistrate at Makadara law courts.

Well, one of the family members who was attending the party at the time the incident occurred, has finally spoken out and here is what transpired.

"Around 9 pm on Sunday night a neighbour at our homestaed came bagging the gate in the name of loud music. We were in a family gathering with few friends watching football. This lady by the name EVA KAIMENYI a daughter to CS KAIMENYI also a magistrate of Makadara law court demanded people to leave the house and the TV be switched off.

"When we tried to explain to her that the volume is not even high, she stated that her word was final and that was the last warning. After 30 mins, we heard people knocking the gate. We went out and sorted the issue with them since they also found that the noise was not that loud as Eva had claimed. Just after settling with the uniformed police officers, we saw someone at our door. This was the Deputy OCS Daniel Nyakako with fully combat team dressed as if they were heading for a riot or armed robber. He had jumped over the gate and insisted we open the gate coz they are under instructions to arrest everyone hence they started"

We went out to tell the new team of police that someone has fainted and needs to be brought out to get fresh air only to be arrested beaten.. bullied then put in a Landcruiser and headed to Kayole Matopeni police station where we were detained till yesterday evening. This is really unfair for police officer especially a senior officer in police force whom we pay through our taxes to use such force in a private house where no one was armed nor disturbance.

In fact the neighborhood was left in shock on how such could happen to one of them when there is a committee within the estate and they had no complained."
