Kenyan actress Sandra Dacha alias Silprosa has said it's high time people learnt to pay creatives (artistes, actors, influencers) for their job.

According to the curvaceous damsel, telling someone you won't pay them because you are giving them exposure is 'abuse'.

‘Being dumped by my military boyfriend was my happiest day’ – Silprosa

Speaking during an interview with Nana Owiti, Sandra said

'Exposure is good when you are beginning but after that people should be paid.

When people start recognizing you then the line' I am giving you exposure' does not work.

I have bills to pay, I have to eat, kwanza vile mimi napenda chakula and exposure cannot pay for such bills.'

Her sentiments come at a time when the number of influencers has gone up.

Gone are the days where such people did influencing for free. Now it's a job like any other.

The value of an influencer depends on how good they are at interacting with the audience and how many numbers they are able to reach out to.

The next time someone asks you to do something for them for free remind them you have bills to pay, otherwise watu hii Nairobi watakutumia kama tissue.
