Nigerian superstar Bayanni, real name Abimbola Oladokun has released the remix to his hit song 'Ta Ta Ta' featuring American RnB star Jason Derulo.

In an interview with media personality Kalondu Musyimi, Bayanni said his team reached out to Derulo's team for the remix "Then we sent the song, he loved it and was so energetic about hopping on the track!" He said

Bayanni said having someone like Jason Derulo on the remix is going to open up the song to new audience, and definitely more regions.

The song is a major breakthrough for him and since it's release, the award winning star has been able to reach new audience everyday,.

"I’ve been able to perform in some of my favorite places around the world," he said.

So how did the song come about?

"The day I and prestige (the producer) made this song, I wasn’t really in the mood, there was a bit of traffic before he came, so he was late. Then he was about to play a couple of beats for me, he then played this beat (tatata beat) then my mood lit up immediately, because the beat was so groovy," he told the media personality

Adding "Then I remembered an event that happened the week before, I told him to put me on record and I just freestyled the whole beat."

The song speaks about an experience the singer had a week before he actually recoorded the song.

"And that was it! The way I like making my music, I like to make it personal, I like to talk about something I’ve personally experienced. So for those still wondering, tatata was a personal experience."

He describes the rest of the year as a "hot from this side!"

"A lot of beautiful music coming to your speakers soon. Some shocking collaborations this year too."

Bayanni would like people to know and remember him as that one person that touches people with his music, someone whose music leaves a mark or an impression after you listen.

"Someone who delivers timeless music," he concluded.

Who is Bayanni

The singer was born on the 25th of June 1997 in Alagbado, a bustling settlement between the borders of Lagos and Ogun state in Nigeria.

He is an indigene of Ipetumodu from the ancestral state of Osun.

The young lad grew up around his brothers and was introduced to playing musical instruments through the church as a way to keep them from being less mischievous which was what piqued his interest in music.

With a childhood that equipped him with the solid foundation needed for a lifetime, Bayanni describes his childhood as peaceful, loving, supporting and family oriented which he claims plays a huge impact on the type of music he makes.

Following in his father’s footsteps, he is a graduate of accounting from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (OAU) where he juggled being a student of accounting and a budding artiste.

The smoky eyed singer is treading the ways of those who have come before him while fully embracing the Afrobeat sound with his silvery voice.

As someone who grew up around music and people with different tastes in music while defining his sound himself, it is impossible not to catch the influence of the old connoisseurs of music that surrounded him in his writing, melodies, approach to songs and catch phrases.

The newest Mavin signee is set to distinctively place his footprints in the sands of time as an artist who relatively did his part in using his voice as a tool for the call for change while entertaining and spreading the sound of Afrobeat to the ends of the earth.
