Kenyans on Twitter are mocking the singer with many calling him out for being an opportunist.
Lord Abraham wrote; "In unrelated news, Ben Githae is talented. #RailasRunningMate."
Gladys Mungai ~Beacon of Hope: "So after he was allegedly asked if he has his own mountain Ben Githae already has a Karua Raila song. You got to give it to this man. Very strategic #Azimio."
Dr Munyasa: Ben Githae unleashing that song is like the umbrella guys in the CBD on a hot sunny morning then it suddenly rains… deep state.
Speaking to Mpasho, Githae said it is his democratic right to support anyone he wants to.
He urged his fellow gospel musicians to use their popularity if they have grace.
"They continue preaching the gospel and they are bold enough to influence politics if they have the calling but if they don't have they keep away, it needs special grace."
In the past Githae announced he will be supporting Azimio after President Uhuru backed him for the 2022 presidential ticket.
In November 2021, endorsed the former Prime Minister for the presidency and offered to compose for the latter a song. Giving tidbits to the song, the new tune would replace Uhuru-Ruto with Raila's name.
"We will modify the song a bit so to ndani nadani ndani, to the State House. Mlima wote, Baba Tosha," the musician sang.
Defending his Tano Tena song, Ben Githae challenged Kenyans to work hard and stop blaming him for the tough economic times linked to the Jubilee government.
Githae disputed claims that swayed Kenyans into voting for the Jubilee government through his campaign hit song Tano Tena.
"If you do not work for yourself and you only blame Ben Githae, you will only die a poor person because I sang the song and was paid. I also urge you to do your job and be paid for it."
