African actors and actresses stormed South Africa over the weekend for the Bridgerton Affair red carpet.
To mark the official premiere of the Telenovela's much-awaited season 2, African thespians gathered at the Inanda Club, Johannesburg.
The “Love Doesn’t Play by the Rules' theme saw the guests transported to the sparkling charm of the Regency era, with a distinctly African flair.
Other than the Johannesburg glamour a virtual red carpet was held and fans could sign up to attend.
Season 1 of the Telenovela was one of Netflix's most-watched series in 2020.
The filming of season 2 was to begin in July 2021 due to a COVID19 outbreak on set.
After a period of self-isolation, filming resumed in mid-August and officially finished over the weekend of November 20, 2021.
