Former Capital FM radio presenter Miss Mandi has issued a public apology after claims that she was toxic to her colleagues.

Hell broke loose for Mandi on Twitter after her former collegue, Koome Gitobu accused her of being mean to him back at 1 FM.

Koome said that Mandi would constantly humiliate him for not dressing 'classy' eating 'classy food' and lacking a good accent.

After topping social media trends for days, Miss Mandi issued a public apology to Koome on Saturday evening.

"In all honesty, I do not recall the many experiences recounted online, but that does not negate that those moments could have impacted those I have worked and interacted with negatively. I can also see how those experiences contribute to the overall "mean girl" culture that is perceived to be a part of the media industry here in Kenya. I do not wish to contribute to that culture and I mean that sincerely," Mandi wrote in part.

She further stated that she is now a changed person, and more empathetic.

"As I grow older I have ensured to continuously correct my behavior at the earliest opportunity and learn from my past mistakes and interactions. Life has definitely made me more empathetic. Although this entire conversation has taken on a life of its own, I still see this as another opportunity for self-improvement and I do not intend to waste it," she said.

Mandi apologised to those she wronged, saying she is now on a journey to self-improvement.

"To all those that have recounted particular negative experiences that involved me, please know that while my intentions were never to cause you harm and what I can now see was deep trauma, I acknowledge that my words and actions could have caused them. For that, I apologize. I feel terrible that some of my actions could have caused those who have interacted with me such distress because that is not who I am now, or what I stand for."
