'Ameno Amapiano' hitmaker Goya Menor is on his first tour of Kenya.
Menor's song, which is commonly known for its phrase ' You want to Bamba, you wanna chill with the big boys', has gone viral since December.
Speaking to Mpasho, Menor said he wrote the song himself, but a 'big boy' does not mean a rich person as many have interpreted.
“The society has taken a big boy to be someone who has money, but a big boy is one who can meet his responsibilities. It was a message for the new generation to transform from being a bad to good," Menor said.
The 'big boy' said he has come across many challenges of the song, and cannot pinpoint which was his best.
One of the 'Bambachallenge' videos that have gone viral in Kenya is that of Nairobi Governor Hassan Joho.
Menor said he saw it and would love to chill with Joho.
“I have seen the Governor of Mombasa...thank you for supporting my brand. I hope I meet you soon...am about to chill with the big boy," he said.
