Obstetrician gynecologist Dr. James Gakara was laid to rest in his Gilgil home on Tuesday. 

Friends and family members gathered in an open field where the final send-off was held. 

In the burial, Gakara's first-born daughter mourned her dad as his closest friend. 

Being the only child of Dr Gakara that is alive, Agnes Njeri recalled the special bond she had with her siblings, Dylan and Karuana. 

Njeri said that the two kids, who were laid to rest alongside their dad will forever remain in her heart. 

"My father ensured I got the best education, I am grateful for his presence and no matter what happens, he will remain my friend,” Agnes eulogized. 

The three family members were laid to rest in two graves cemented with tiles.

While Dr Gakara was laid on his own grave, his children were laid on the same grave. 

A thin wall separated the doctor with his little children. 

Gakara is suspected to have intoxicated the two children on September 18, and attempted suicide. 

When police officers walked into his home in Nakuru, they found the kids lying lifeless, with their unconscious in a separate room.
