The two tied the knot is a fairy tale wedding on November 26, 2015, in a very lovely ceremony attended by friends and family. They were blessed with 3 children Agnes Njeri, the late Dylan Gakara and the late Hailey Karuana.

"Our marriage life was beautiful, one I would describe as a great marriage. It is a beautiful story that I would want to talk about over and over. A good marriage isn't something you simply find, it's something you make and you have to keep on making.”

Adding, "My husband was the best partner, a good listener and compassionate, he never wanted to see me struggle or have any problems. I got everything I would ask fo . When you mention his name, you needed not to remind me of him our hearts were already intertwined with our thoughts together."

Winnie continued, "It's like a movie that you watch so deeply, keenly and passionately and then it suddenly stops! Now I know it's not possible for anyone to live 1000 years. My heart bleeds and I am completely shattered.

Never in my wildest dreams have I dreamt of something like this. It feels like a dream that is just never-ending... I do not know how my weekends will be, I do not know how my Sundays will be spent. Only God knows. I lost my strength, my purpose for life... Go well my dear beloved husband, my sweet girl Karwana and my darling baby boy 'Didi'."
