Video of June Ruto and fianc dancing as Nigerians splash money on them

The daughter of Deputy President William Ruto is officially off the market, after holding a traditional engagement party on Saturday.

June Ruto's engagement to Nigerian professor Alexander Ezenagu was held at her father's official residence in Karen.

The in-laws marked the event in pomp and colour as they danced to both Nigerian and Nandi cultural songs.

June Ruto and Alexander also got a chance to showcase their dancing skills. The two took to the dancefloor dancing to Nigerian traditional songs, with the attendants blessing them with money.

Alexander's kin surrounded the dancing couples and splashed money on them amid cheers.

Osita Chidoka, who led the Nigerian team in the dowry negotiations shared the video of the event on his Facebook page.

The former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria could not hide his joy as he said that the event turned him into an instant celebrity in Kenya.

In the event, the bride's father also took the opportunity to showcase his deejaying skills. The DP joined DJ Protege on the deck to entertain his guests.

The man who won June's heart is a law professor at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University and hails from Enugu State, Nigeria.
