It was pomp and color at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru over the weekend as Gor Mahia painted the town green and white. It was one of the most anticipated matches this season between Gor Mahia and Ulinzi Stars as it believed that Gor Mahia would lift the title there. But after the final whistle the match ended in a barren draw leaving K'ogalo needing only a draw to be crowned champions for the third time in a row.

After the match, most fans embarked on their way to Nairobi now anticipating Wednesday's fixture against Sony Sugar; but one Jackie Nyar Annasy will not live to see Gor Mahia clinch the Kenyan Premier League title this time, after her life was cut short following a grisly road accident along Jogoo Road.

The vehicle K'ogalo fans were traveling in rammed into a stationary trailer killing Nyar Annasy on the spot and leaving two others badly injured. The two are still fighting for their lives at Kenyatta National Hospital. Jackie, is believed to be the wife of the late Gor Mahia die hard fan Roy Kohadha who also died in a road accident in 2013.

Mpasho condoles with the family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
