A popular Kenyan socialite has been put on the spot after she abandoned her two children. She abandoned the firstborn one and a half years ago and the second child when she was only five months old.

The socialite who hails from Eldoret county was a darling to many before her life took a different turn.

Speaking exclusively to Mpasho the socialite's sister, *Maggy (Names have been changed to protect the identity of the minors), said that the kids have been through hell and back.

‘My sister had her first child almost two years ago and my dad took her in and the next thing we knew she had gotten pregnant again.

She had the second child and at some point, she left and never went to check on the kids.

My dad was living with our stepmother and she was the one taking care of the kids.

Whenever we asked for photos they always had excuses and all those times they have been saying everything is fine.

Last week we were told the firstborn (my niece) had been taken to a relative's place and that is where she would be living my step mum said she was overwhelmed.'

Maggy said that once her niece arrived at her relative's place, that is when the extent of the abuse she had been going through became clear.

‘When the baby reached the relative's place is when they noticed the burns on her back and private parts.

She had bruises all over her head, fractures on her finger, and feet, she also had swellings all over her head.

She is also malnourished.

On asking my dad what happened, He said the wife had beaten her because she was naughty.

Luckily for us, we managed to get my step mum arrested. Sadly my dad paid her bail’

What hurts Maggie the most is that her sister is acting like she has no kids.

'‘My sister is acting like she has no children, moving on like everything is OKay. It’s horrible.

My step mum is in remand as she could not raise the Ksh 30,000 needed for bail. My dad knows many people in Eldoret.

We want justice and we hope that there won’t be evidence disappearing.

My sister lost guardianship because for a year and a half she has not taken care of her kids.

The youngest child is at her dad’s house (baby daddy).'

Maggie added that the young child is currently recuperating.

‘we got the baby daddy a nanny.

The baby is only 2.8Kgs at 5 months, the doctor was surprised that she is alive.

We have been dealing with the house help directly, sending her cash for food and everything else.

My sister never picks any of our calls.'
