Ugandan legendary star Juliana Kanyomozi has denied claims by social media users that she is the one in a video that has gone viral on Ugandan socials.
Juliana has shut down those claims of reportedly being nude in the video through her X account;
"There’s a random video doing rounds on social media and those sharing it claim it’s me in it. I wish to inform the well meaning public and my fans that am not the person in that video neither do I know the malicious individuals behind it," she wrote on X
She added "I therefore disassociate myself from it and ask you the general public and my fans to do the same."
In 2022, Uganda passed a law that criminalizes misuse of social media.
September 8, 2022 passed a draconian law that criminalises various uses of computers and digital technologies and largely curtails digital rights. The penalty is imprisonment of up to five years, a fine of up to UGX 10 million (Ksh 348,240), or both.
