The 21 year old daughter of Former South African President Jacob Zuma is set to marry Eswatini King Mswati III as his 16th wife.

Nomcebo Zuma was presented as his fiancée during a ceremony called the Umhlanga or Reed Monday Sep 2.

King Mswati is 56.

Umhlanga or Reed Dance was created in the 1940s by King Sobhuza II for the King to choose a new wife annually.

During the ceremony, the young girls celebrate their virginity at the Ludzidzini Royal Village in Lobomba, Kingdom of Eswatini.

According to multiple South African publishers, she will be introduced tohis mother in the coming weeks.

The Kings representatives in July paid a visit to the home of Zuma in Nkandla to present cattle as part of dowry.

The proposal was formalized through a traditional ceremony known as “kucela,” whereby the King sends a team to present gifts to symbolize his request or permission to marry the girl in question.

The negotiations remain a secret so far.
