• In the recent Olympic Games, the most celebrated marathoner ever dropped out of the men’s event at around the 31K mark.

CNN International Correspondent has shaded Kenya for not recognizing marathoner Eliud Kipchoge.

Madowo who is currently in Mexico showed the different statues and photos the country has of the Kenyan marathoner.

Through his socials he shared;

'I saw a lot of Eliud Kipchoge ads all over Mexico City The world recognizes the marathon goat, but at home?'

In September 2022, Kipchoge broke the internet after he won the BMW Berlin Marathon, clocking a sensational 2:01:09 at the World Athletics Elite Platinum Label road race .

His record was broken by the late Kevin Kiptum.

Kiptum set a new world record with a time of two hours and 35 seconds, slicing 34 seconds off Kipchoge's standard set at the 2022 Berlin Marathon.

This saw Kipchoge receive a lot of threats, cyberbullying and trolling.

In the recent Olympic Games, Eliud Kipchoge dropped out of the men’s marathon around the 31K mark.

This left Kenyans questioning why , He has vowed to compete in other marathons.
