Oscar award winner Lupita Nyongo is celebrating her cat's birthday.

Childless cat Yoyo was adopted by Lupita Nyong'o from Best Friends Adoption Centre not long after his breakup from Selema Masekela.

 Lupita was adamant about changing his name as she considered it a perfect name.

"It was the name that the adoption centre gave him and they asked me whether I wanted to change it. I was like 'absolutely not,' I would never have named him Yoyo ,it is such a perfect name." she told PEOPLE.

Yoyo has been known for helping Lupita pull out a moment she described as a super low point during her break up with ex boyfriend Selema Masekela.

 She not only considers him as a pet but a companion.

Yoyo loves company and food .

He is very picky about his wand toys  and also drinks running water.

He can't be trusted around supplements .

She revealed this during an interview with PEOPLE magazine.
