Digital content creator and entrepreneur Murugi Munyi has announced she will be closing down her clothes and jewellery store, 'Wild by Murugi' at the end of this month.
In a candid Instagram live session, the mother of 3 opened up about the highs and lows of running a business as she shared the sad news with her customers and online fan base.
"As of the end of this month, I will be closing down Wild. Nothing bad has happened,it has been a fantastic venture and I have appreciated all the support but I am just at a different phase in life. When I first opened it I didn't think it was going to be this big and I was not sure about what running a business entails. It was hustle culture,'" started off the TMI Podcast co-host.
She went on to reveal with time she lost passion for running her business but was scared of shutting it down due to fear of what people would think and say. Besides caring for her employees she really didn't have reasons for keeping the store open.
"I'm doing different things for myself and I'm a different person with different expectations, I want to explore different options for myself. I also feel like I want to spend more time at home and with my kids like that's where my biggest energy should be directed towards. This is something I've thought of since February," Murigi added noting she was holding a 50% clearance sale at the store to clear the stock.
Additionally, she would be donating any of the remaining clothes either to her mom's rehab centre or other platforms she feels strongly towards. As for the Instagram page she will still be keeping it.
Captioning the post she wrote, "The end of an era! Wild by Murugi is closing. Thank you for your patronage and support for the past 2 years guys... I appreciate you,"
