Bishop Muthee Kiengei has revealed he started drinking alcohol after his marriage to Radio presenter Keziah Kariuki.
In an interview with Kameme Fm, Kiengei revealed his mum's death also affected him badly.
"We were together for two years.
We got our first child but they passed away before we got another child.
When she started working for Kememe, we broke up.
I cannot discuss things about someone who made me happy.
I stayed as a bachelor for 3 years after we parted ways."
Kiengei went on to add
" After Keziah and I parted ways I started drinking, My mother also got sick during that time.
I was advised to take King Fisher as it was 'sugary' I ended up throwing up in Sabina Chege's car.
After I went home I realized it made me sleep.
I started going to wine and spirit shops and buying the drink myself. It used to taste very bad."
Kiengei started with a bottle but progressed to heavy drinking with time.
"I would drink two and progressed with time, I even started buying and placing alcohol in the fridge.
I feel like that is what it meant to live life.
I looked at pastors we were preaching with and felt like they were fools for not drinking."
He added
"The first time I had Muratina, I couldn't even see.
Kiengei has since reformed his ways and quit drinking.
He is now a bishop.
