News anchor Shiksha Arora leaves KBC after 3 years

• She termed this as the beginning of a new chapter.

• She says she is grateful for the memories formed.

TV personality Shiksha Arora has left Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) three years after she joined the State Owned company.

She announced Today will be her last day.

She thanked everyone who has supported her in the last three years.

"My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family. Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on #EasyFriday on KBC for the past 3 years. I covered the elections, danced with the biggest names in the entertainment scene in Kenya, interviewed over a 100 celebrities & artists on the show & WHAT A TIME WE HAD! We’ve laughed, danced, cried, and grew together on @kbc_television This isn’t just the end of a show; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited for. As I say goodbye to KBC, join me tonight at 9 PM, one last time on Easy Friday!-Grateful for every moment and every memory on #EasyFriday ❤️📺"

Her depature comes days after she went viral for doing #AngukaNayo challenge with Nick Kosir in New York.

Sharing the video on her socials, she captioned

"Anguka nayo to the world!! Kenya to the world 🇰🇪🇺🇸 I met the amazing dancing weatherman @nickkosir in Times Square, NEW YORK! Made him do this dance like a true Kenyan! Can you tell he was really feeling it 😂😭 How did he do? We are now changing his name to Nick KINUTHIA! The dancing news anchor finally met the Dancing weather man ❤️❤️❤️🇰🇪X 🇺🇸 #angukanayo"

Shiksha joined KBC in June 2021 at a time the TV station was launching. Before that, she had worked with K24.

Seasoned media personalities who joined the State Broadcaster during the relaunch include; Tom Mboya, Cynthia Nyamai, Shiksha Arora, John Kioria Fred Indimuli, Ahmed Juma Ballo, Harith Salim and Nancy Onyancha.

Others on the list were the late Catherine Kasavuli who was regarded as the queen and princess of the TV, the legendary Fayyaz Qureishi, the late Badi Muhsin and Pauline Sheghu.
