Tanzanian singer Zuchu has delighted netizens with the story behind her hit song 'Utaniua' that was released back in February 2023.

Zuchu who has been in an on-and-off relationship with award-winning Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, said that it was a heartfelt dedication to him.

She explained that being in love inspired her so profoundly that she wrote the song in honour of Diamond.

"This song is based on a true story, let me just tell you. I was caught so deep. You know that good love that gets into your veins until you write a song. This was a dedication to someone," she said earnestly.

The music video for "Utaniua" also features Diamond, who plays Zuchu's lover, and they share affectionate moments.

In early July, Zuchu affectionately referred to Diamond as "my husband" and showered him with love after their time apart. The couple was staying at the luxurious Five Palm Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai.

On her Snapchat, Zuchu shared a video of Diamond relaxing on a poolside bed as they enjoyed exotic fruits together. She tenderly touched his beard, expressing how much she had missed him.

Zuchu also congratulated Diamond on the success of his song "Komosava," which has garnered global attention.

Notably, American singer Chris Brown participated in the 'Komosava' challenge and shared it on Instagram.

She also praised Diamond for elevating Tanzania's presence on the world stage, playfully saying, "Anaringa ndugu yake Klisi Blauni" (He is proud, his brother Chris Brown).

The 'Sukari' singer was so eager to see and congratulate him in person that she decided to meet him in Dubai.

She arrived a few days before Diamond, who, according to his manager SK Sallam, will be performing in Dubai soon.
