A procession was held from Jevanjee Gardens by hundreds of youth who turned up to remember protestors killed in the Anti Tax Protests, in a candle lighting ceremony.

The virgil was held Sunday June 30, where many called for justice for those killed and injured in the protests.

A group separately also honored the life of a young man named Kogi Kamau,  Kamau, was 22.

"Justice for Kogi" the group shouted adding "Kogi ni nani? Kogi ni nani?" The crowd responded "Shujaa".

"He did all this for us. We should remain steadfast and strong and continue. This is for who?" said a woman who addressed the youth.

The sister to Kogi spoke on behalf of the family saying he died a young brave soldier, who was peacefully fighting for the rights of Kenyans.

Before the vigil, was a peaceful walk, where a banner paying tribute to Kogi was held. They hailed him as a hero.

"You stood for us. We stand for you"

Meanwhile President Ruto in a media interview, expressed his willingness to engage with young people on X Space.

This follows calls from Kenyans that they only want dialogue on social media.

"I am hearing that the young people are saying we don’t want a multisectoral forum, maybe we should have an engagement with the President on X. I am open to having an engagement with the young people on a forum they are comfortable with. If they want me to engage with them on X, I will be there," he said.
