Vera Sidika is saddened at the death of innocent Kenyans and those injured while peacefully marching in the anti-tax bill protests.

Vera took to her social media to condemn the killings of young people.

"Lost souls, May they rest in peace, Heroes," she said.

Her brother King Josh had also joined thousands of protestors and at some time his phone went off and they could not reach him as a family.

"We all tried calling, he was offline. Called all his friends nobody knew ah. My heart sank for a while Only for him to reach out hours later that he's heading home..." she shared.

She added;

"For those of us who didn't go for protests, we all have loved ones and people that are out risking their lives, fighting for our lives. Our hearts stop when anything bad happens to any one of us. Please, know you are not alone,"

Scores of youth were rushed to different medical facilities for treatment after bullets were lodged in their limbs, and injured by teargas canisters.

"I'm so saddened it's come to this. I can't unsee those images Praying for Kenya. This is sick. My heart bleeds for my country! It was NEVER to get to this point. So many innocent lives lost, and multiple people injured, Like, is this really the "hustlers" nation?" she added.

She blasted the current leadership over their actions.

"Our government, sworn to protect and serve, stood in stark contrast to the reality we witnessed today. The promise of safety and care dissolved into scenes of tragedy and LOSS!!!

"Our painful voices, demanding FAIRNESS and JUSTICE, were met not with dialogue but with violence! This sad day serves as a painful reminder of the gap between the ideals of our leaders and the lived experiences of the people they are meant to protect, but at the same time, it represents the beginning of a very important era in Kenyan history. It's time our people take their power back!

This is way more than just #rejectfinancebill2024! REST IN PEACE to our gone comrades,".
