How Juliani's song influenced 'Occupy Parliament' protests

Exponential potential singer Juliani's hip-hop music took center stage Tuesday, June 18 as Kenyans took to the streets in an anti-Finance Bill 2024 protest.

One of his most popular song 'Utawala' was used to champion the Occupy Parliament protests. Protestors compiled videos of the day using his tracks. 

One Twitter user Komboray told Juliani, "Thank you for your service on! We really appreciate your work."

Others celebrated Juliani as an artist who can move the masses through his creative work.

One follower said how honoured he was, "My anthem we need Instagram to add Utawala to IG music asap actually."

"Kinyuakibiru told Juliani "Sijawahi kukosa mahali watu wanpigania social justice wewe ni shujaa Julinai."

Lucy Wairimu Mukuria praised him writing, "You are a prophet" and gave her flowers to him for creating such a freedom song.

Shortnhotstuff wrote, "We are proud!!!Hatutasimama maovu yakitawal."

Juliani took to his Twitter account to commend Kenyans as well writing,

"I know tuko mood ya 'sitasimama maovu yakitawala' lakini, what I've witnessed today, you young people I raise you 'Walitudharau' I am honoured to witness your greatness."
