Kenyan First Lady Rachel Ruto oozed glamor for her visit to the US.

And as happens for dignitaries, nothing is left to chance on occasions like these, when photos of the host and the honored guests are often the only communications most of the world sees.

US President Biden was hosting President Ruto and his wife for a state visit, which included a bilateral meeting, a joint press conference, and state dinner. This is the first official state visit to the White House by a leader from an African country since 2008.

Country music singer Brad Paisley performed at the state dinner.

A media preview event was held to showcase what would be served to guests, which included an appetizer and main course of chilled heirloom tomato soup and fruitwood-smoked Beef Short Ribs.

She kept her jewelry simple maintaining small earrings, a simple necklace, and a staple watch as accessories.

For the State Dinner on Thursday, May 23, Mrs Ruto wore a classic black silver full-length gown, with black lace.

At the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park in Atlanta, Mrs Ruto wore a red gown when she met the daughter of the late civil rights leader.

For the visit to the Tyler Perry Film Studios in Atlanta, the First Lady donned a green, blue stripped kitenge outfit dress with a belt.

At Joint Base Andrews in Maryland for a visit to Washington, DC she wore a red and green kitenge outfit with some intricate design as she walked down the plane's flight of stairs.

The Kenyan First family received a warm welcome from the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden.

Mrs Ruto chose a two-blue-toned outfit for a tour of Arlington National Cemetery, where she paid her respects to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their nation. She paired the dress with a white scarf on her shoulders.
