'I think mimi ndio shida!' Larry Madowo says after return to JKIA

• The CNN journalist has famously criticised Kenya's foremost airport over its poor standards.

Larry Madowo has amused netizens with another recent picture of the airport. The CNN Journalist shared a picture of a rainy day at the terminal and asked Kenyans who follow him on X.com if they ccan comment.

"Niko JKIA na kunanyesha tena. I think mimi ndio shida," he noted while using an emoji.

"Mvua imenyesha, naenda hivi nacome," he added.

Many Kenyans reacted hilariously to his update, reminding him that he somehow always arrives in Kenya when it is raining.

Madowo also shared a picture of Rwanda, indicating there was no rain, and another of the UK where the Prime Minister was making a national address standing in the rain.

For most of April and May, Madowo has been jetting into Kenya at a time when the country was experiencing heavy rains.

He often shared videos of how the airport has been affected, eliciting debate.

On 10th April, he was at the airport complaining how International visitors are rained on. He called it embarrassing, as a section of Kenyan rushed to try and find something positive about the country.

"JKIA still won’t protect us from the rain after all these years? Do we have no capacity for shame?Your leaders don’t experience this JKIA shame because they get picked up from the plane, to an exclusive government VIP section, and then straight into a waiting car. They don’t mix with the masses.But I’ll keep posting until things improve."

On 26th April 2024, he provided a viral video of a leaking roof, saying, "Kila siku aibu mpya 🤦🏾‍♂️"
