Entertainer MC Jessy has weighed in on the trending topic of okra water, labeling women who use it as 'red flags' and advising men to stick to their main partners.

In an interview with SPM Buzz, the comedian-turned-politician spoke about the okra water trend, Jessy dismissed it as a scam and cautioned men against women who endorse it.

He humorously remarked, "If your lady is using okra water or you find a lady who is using Okra Water, red flag. Why is she using it? Has she failed in her responsibilities?"

He stressed that Okra Water should be associated with the main partner, not someone's side chick.

In jest, Jessy appealed to President William Ruto to consider taxing okra, adding a humorous touch to his commentary.

So what's the fuss about Okra Water?

Okra water has been trending on TikTok for the past few weeks after some women claimed anecdotally that it helps keep things lubricated down there.

What does the science say?

There is no scientific evidence to suggest that okra water specifically helps lubricate a woman down below. While okra contains mucilage, a gel-like substance that gives it a slimy texture, there is limited research on its effects on lubrication.

Lubrication down there is primarily regulated by hormonal changes, arousal, and overall health. Factors such as hydration, estrogen levels, and overall moisture balance play key roles in maintaining lubrication.

While some people may use natural remedies or dietary supplements to support health down below, such as staying hydrated and consuming foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for personalised advice on maintaining vaginal health and addressing any concerns.
