Kenyan Youtuber Miss Trudy has shared her woes after being detained at a US airport and ended up missing her flight.
Trudy who is married to Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya says she was not given enough time to explain herself.
Adding that this is the second time she has been detained.
Sharing her experience through her YouTube channel, Trudy narrated
"I have just been told to sit down, no one is talking to me and the plane is about to leave do not understand. They needed a return ticket from Ghana and I told them I did not live in Ghana, they asked for an ID and I told them am married in Ghana. I showed them my marriage certificate to no avail. I am so frustrated I do not understand why this is happening to me."
Trudy added despite living in Ghana, she has not been able to acquire citizenship.
"Foreigners do not get identification cards immediately and I explained that to them.
When I was here two days ago I passed through but Today they are frustrating me.
Living Miami is so expensive, My cards are not working.
The plane left me for no good reason, they thought my marriage was fake. "
Trudy says she was forced to sleep at the reception of a hotel as her cards were not going through
'I called the bank and they said they are working on it.
The AirBnB only check in at 3:00PM na it was 3:00 AM."
She was finally able to travel, the airline even upgraded her to Business class.
