• In his lifetime, Amaechi has graced the screens with his remarkable presence and outstanding performances for decades portraying a varied range of characters with his versatility and talent leaving quite a mark on his audience.

The death of veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor on Sunday has sent many Nigerians intto mourning. The actor died at the age of 62 after suffering from kidney-related issues, diabetes, and stroke.

The veteran actor was mostly celebrated for his role in the Nigerian movie industry Nollywood which he joined in 1998. 

In his lifetime, Amaechi has graced the screens with his remarkable presence and outstanding performances for decades portraying a varied range of characters with his versatility and talent leaving quite a mark on his audience.

His diverse acting and comedic skills saw him nominated for the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for Best Actor.

Over the years the Nollywood star showcased his acting prowess in various movies. 

Here are a few of his most celebrated ones

1. Taboo 1 (1989)

A gripping narrative that delves into the heart of cultural practices and taboos, highlighting Muonagor's ability to navigate complex themes with ease.

2. Karishika (1998)

Amaechi Muonagor portrayed a significant character named Father Abraham. His role as Father Abraham added depth to the storyline, as he played a pivotal role in the battle against the titular character, Karishika, a powerful and malevolent entity. 

Muonagor's performances added depth to a shilling tale of supernatural vengeance leaving the audience spellbound. 

3. Ukwa (2001) 

In this classic Muonagor performed as a wealthy eccentric man who encounter various misadventures bringing humor and charm to the film. 

4. Aki na Ukwa (2003)
