Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu expressed heartfelt gratitude after her co-parent Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, attended her daughter's event on Friday.

In photos shared by the politician, Samidoh was seen embracing Senator Nyamu's firstborn daughter, Teana, during what appeared to be a school talent event.

Other pictures showed the nine-year-old girl alongside other students on stage while the audience, which Samidoh might have been part of, looked on.

"Support system, thank you for being there on my daughter's big day while I was away," Senator Nyamu, who is currently in the United States, wrote under the photos she posted on Facebook.

The images displayed the close relationship that musician Samidoh shares with the politician's firstborn child, whom she bore during her previous relationship with DJ Saint Kevin.

Towards the end of last year, Ms. Nyamu opened up about her children's upbringing, revealing the good relationship between her daughter Teana and her two 'fathers'.

In an interview on the Convo YouTube channel, the mother of three disclosed that the nine-year-old girl recognizes both Samidoh (Karen Nyamu's current partner) and DJ Saint Kevin (Karen Nyamu's co-parent) as her fathers.

The controversial politician said Teana refers to both men as 'dad' and even engages in conversations with them regularly.

"She calls both of them 'dad.' And I always tell her, 'You are lucky to have two fathers,'" Karen Nyamu said.

She added, "She calls one and says, 'I want this, this, and this,' then she calls the other and says, 'I want this and this.'"

The lawyer also discussed her relationship with her daughter, revealing that she usually engages in conversations with her about various family matters.

She revealed that she tries to explain the family dynamics to her nine-year-old daughter so that she doesn't get surprised when she comes across things on social media.
