The Guinness World Records has announced that it will be featuring a family from Mali who went viral after a lady gave birth to 9 kids (nonuplets) at the same time!

However, that is not the most notable thing, Guinness is celebrating them for being the only set of surviving nonuplets ever recorded in the world.

Interestingly, at first, the mother identified as 25-year-old Halima Cissé thought she was only expecting seven kids as the ultrasound sessions had failed to spot two of her babies. She was shocked to deliver 9 kids, five girls, and four boys.

The babies were born in Morocco, where Cissé had been flown (in late March 2021) with the help of the Mali government to receive comprehensive specialist care and attention during her pregnancy.

Where was her husband all this time you ask, well the couple have a daughter that they welcomed before the nonuplets came along. So her hubby, Adjudant Kader Arby, remained in Mali to watch over their daughter

Announcing the nonuplets feature on their show GWR was excited to announce that the kids were almost turning 3 and would be flying to Italy.

"World's first surviving nonuplets visit Italy to appear on TV show!" Started off the caption by GWR.

The Instagram caption went on to give a little backstory on the family and why they were excited to have them aboard.

"In December 2022, aged one and a half years old, the world's first surviving nonuplets went on their first plane flight

They traveled from Morocco, where they were born and lived for 19 months, to their parents' home country of Mali

And now, two months shy of their third birthday, the nonuplets have made their first trip to Europe, visiting Italy to appear on our televised talent show Lo Show dei Record. @les_nonuples_arby,' the last of their post read.

The couple has been documenting their kids lives online, letting netizens in on how it is living and caring for such a huge number of kids at once.

According to Guinness World Records prior to this family from Mali, the previous  world record for the number of live births was held by Nadya Suleman of California in 2009, who delivered octuplets (8 babies)
