Celebrated Congolese vocalist, songwriter, and choreographer Ya Levis Dalwear will be coming to Kenya in a few weeks and is scheduled to perform at Raha Fest. 

The two-day festival is set for March 30th and 31st, 2024, at Uhuru Gardens, offering a range of activities and attractions.

One of the highlights of the Raha Fest artist lineup is the Afrobeat Superstar Ya Levis Dalwear. The multi-talented superstar is known for his captivating and chart-topping hits, including 'Nakati', 'Katchua', and 'Mbangu te'.

  1. Ya Levis Dalwear's real name is Prince Nemiala. 
  2. He was born on September 9, 1994, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
  3.  The artist is French-based, his family arrived in France in 1999 when he was 5 years old.
  4. Ya Levis has been immersed in music since he was introduced by his father Nico Nemiala, a Congolese musician in his childhood.
  5. His name Ya Levis emerged in 2009 when he joined a music group called D Stars of Africa, a group of dancers, and from then on, he called himself Ya Levis Dalwear from then on. 
  6. He ended up leaving the troop in 2012 to embark on a solo career.
  7. He rose to fame with his hits, Mokolo ya l'amour, Liballa, Katchua, and Mbangu te. 
  8. The singer welcomed his first son in 2023.
