Otile Brown has declared that there is no single artist who has hit international status In Africa!
The R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist noted that collectively, all nations had to work extra had to up their game and change the script as East African artists were literally below the bar as things stood.
These include Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and 13 other countries
"And this international goal we will continue striving and struggling for it because the industry is stuck. Because as it stands in Africa there is no international artist in here!" Started off the artist.
Otile Brown went on to explain why he felt the way he did when it comes to himself and others in the game.
"Forget what you think, let nobody lie to you in East Africa there is no international artist!" Said the 'Dusuma' hitmaker while speaking to digital content creator and budding musician Oga Obinna,
Taken aback, Obinna asked what of Diamond, noting that Mr. Chibudi Chibude was a hit in his home country Tanzania and had a few trending songs and international collaborations. "Let us keep it real if you all want to keep it real. We have a job to do!
Let us not lie to ourselves and be like oohh packaging oohh this and that, a lot of unnecessary noise," added Otile Brown.
He went on to give an example of young artists such as Ruger who'd come up and taken the world by storm already detailing how as it stands, there isn't a single East African artist who can compete with the 24-year-old Afrobeats star.
"We have a job to do, we have all reached the ceiling and that's why we are struggling. We need to break the ceiling, that is the only way we will be able to rise up. Let us start embracing other music," Otile Brown candidly told Obinna during a candid sit down the two had.
