Paul Pogba given 4-year ban

French footballer Paul Pogba has been banned for four years. This is after the 30-year-old former Manchester United midfielder failed a drug test. He tested positive for testosterone.

The footballer's lawyers claimed he had accidentally ingested the substance that caused the positive test. The footballer has revealed that he will be appealing the ruling.

If his appeal is not successful, he will probably be returning to the field at 35 years old as he is turning 31 years old on 15th March.

His career started in 2007 when he joined the youth team of Ligue 2 side Le Havre. He later joined Manchester United in 2010 before leaving for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012.

In August 2016, Pogba returned to former club, Manchester United, on a five-year contract. In  July 2022, Juventus announced Pogba's return on a four-year contract.

He has received many accolades among them the 2013 Golden Boy award, the Bravo Award in 2014, the 2015 UEFA Team of the Year 2015, 2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI.
