Charles Ouda honored in night vigil as friends share heartfelt memories

The life and legacy of late actor Charles Ouda was honored Wednesday, February 14, in a night Vigil attended by his friends and peers.

In a livestream, Kenyans shared their heartfelt memories, and stories, reflecting on his life.

CS Ababu Namwmba was also among those who attended the service where he paid tribute to the late actor.

Patricia Kihoro and Mugambi Nthiga were the MCees of the night.

"We have a very beautiful evening lined up to pay tribute and remember our dear friend. He was a supernova, a bright light, generous, and somebody that gave us life," The hosts told the audience.

The speeches, tributes, and performances made the audience emotional. A video of his life was played showing how much he loved life.

The eulogy lovingly described Charles Joseph Ouda from birth to his death.

His first take of fame was as the Omo brand ambassador. His family spoke about his love for sports and his artistic talent. 

His work and awards attained were noted by his siblings. Crew and cast also spoke about his busy schedule.

His passion for relationships was described heartily as how he sat down with his mum, to show her the ring he intended to propose to Ciru Muriku in 2023.

Musical performances were done by Eric Wainaina, and Karimi Rimbui among others. They sang songs that the late Charlie loved to sing in gigs and in auditions.

The body of the late Charles Ouda will be cremated today at the Kariokor cemetery.
