Multi-award-winning Nigerian artist David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido has dropped Sh39 million on a customized chain in a bid to immortalize his late toddler Ifeanyi Adeleke who passed away a little over a year ago.

Davido's first child with now wife Chioma Rowland met his untimely death in a drowning accident back in October 2022 a few days after celebrating his 3rd birthday.

Over the course of time Davido has shared how hard Ifeanyi's death has been on him revealing working on his latest studio album 'Timeless' helped ground him in some ways.

The multi-million chain that the Grammy Nominee just copped contains a shimmering pendant replica of his late son's face wearing a crown of flowers depicting the young one as an angel... a guardian angel if we may.

And according to Celebrity jeweler Gabriel Jacobs who worked on it and presented it to the Afro beats star, it contains an astounding 8,000 stones in total in the shades of natural brown, champagne, and black diamonds.

Gabriel also revealed that the neck piece weighs a total of 60 carats and cost him $250,000 in full! That is a whooping Sh. 39 million!

The head wrap adorning late Ifeanyi's "head" on top of the diamonds used houses several other high end rocks such as, opal, topaz, and citrine to help complete its look.

For a more authentic touch it also houses the birthstones of the late toddler, in addition to his parents Davido and his wife Chioma stones.

Last year, while speaking to AB Talks podcast the superstar admitted that tears well up in his eyes each morning, even if they may go unnoticed by others. He maintained he has never stopped thinking about his little one.

"I miss him every day; there are tears coming out of my eyes every morning; you don’t have to see it," Davido emotionally shared.

He added that he believes his late son is watching over him from above, and that gives him the strength to be strong for himself and for Ifeanyi's mother, Chef Chioma.

"I look at myself in the mirror, and I said apart from it just being about me, I know how many people love me, I know how many people are depending on me.

My son up there is looking down at me. Apart from me being strong for his mom, which is my primary responsibility, I have to be strong for the world," added the 'IF' crooner.
