Blogger Edgar Obare has suffered another major blow after Instagram management suspended his account under the name “BNN Basic”.

The account has allegedly been suspended over a violation of Instagram community guidelines on content publishing.

The precise posts or posts that caused the account to be suspended are still unknown. This is Obare’s fourth Instagram account that has been deactivated

Suspended accounts however have a grace period when their owners can appeal the decision, failure to which, they are permanently deleted.

However, sources privy to the matter allege that his "enemies" could have reported his account as a warning message due to his constant ‘bullying’ of personalities and causing pain in their lives.

Our newsroom contacted some of the people he has been at loggerheads with and they seemed to be happy that Instagram decided to keep him in check.

One of the local celebrities was quoted saying... "I hope the government also shuts down his online business".

Business mogul Christina Lewis who has an active court case with Obare reacted to the news saying “This is just a soft warning’.

Adding; “He should seize from hurting people and take down all his negative videos,”.

However, hours later Obare shared that he has managed to recover his account after making an appeal.

"Instagram has suspended our fourth account for violating community guidelines. #bnnbasicI know it’s my enemies falsely reporting my accounts, we shall regroup and be back.Meanwhile, we are moving to my backup account: @uncledgar," he shared.

In October 2022, Instagram again suspended Edgar Obare's blogging account, BNN Africa.

This was after an explicit advert he ran on the platform. The popular 'Tea Master' said Instagram deactivated his account with over 149,000 followers over claims that he violated Community Guidelines on 'human exploitation'.

''My main account has been deactivated, working to get it restored. Meanwhile, we already prepared for these outcomes and I can also be posting here,'' Edgar said after his page was deactivated.
