Charles Ouda's post about looking forward to seeing what the next years hold emerges

Charles Ouda was a veteran Kenyan actor who died on Saturday 3rd February 2024. Ouda starred in many local and international films among them Makutani Junction, Second Family, Salem among many others.

In a November 2023 post, Ouda shared a video that asked

'Would you rather be black and live to a hundred? Or white and live to 50?'

He said he's rather be black

"I mean, I'm halfway there, I got 60 more years but so I'll take it."

In the caption of the video, Ouda said he was in a place where he wad really appreciating the grey in his beard.

"I look forward to seeing what the next years hold… and if I will make it to see humans walk on the moon again (or Mars). Anyway… my old butt is the #TBT. On behalf of Ouda's family, actor Mkamzee Mwatela announced the sad news on Sunday.

"It is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles ‘Charlie’ J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki inform you of his passing on the night of 3rd February 2024," read the statement

"He was a beloved son, brother and friend. Charlie was 38 years old. We appeal to all to give his fiancée Ciru, and the Oudas space to grieve this unfathomable loss."

The family said that more details will be given in due course.

"Once again, we urge all to respect the privacy of those involved. Statement issued on behalf of the Oudas and Ciru Muriuki."
