Nairobi Bariatric Center on Instagram: "Guess who stopped by @willisraburu 🤗🎄 Congratulations, Willis, 1.5 years post op and putting in the work to stay healthy and strong. Including taking his supplements The importance of taking supplements as a bariatric patient can not be overstated. Here's why: 1️⃣. Nutrient Deficiency Prevention: Bariatric procedures can limit the absorption of essential vitamins and minerals, leading to deficiencies. Supplements help bridge the nutritional gap, preventing deficiencies like vitamin B12, iron, calcium, and more. 2️⃣.Supporting Healing and Recovery: Post-surgery, the body undergoes a healing process. Adequate nutrition supports tissue repair, wound healing, and overall recovery. Supplements provide the necessary nutrients to facilitate these processes. 3️⃣.Energy and Vitality: Maintaining optimal nutrient levels ensures energy levels remain high. Bariatric patients often face challenges in getting enough nutrients from food alone, making supplements essential for sustained vitality. 4️⃣.Immune System Support: Adequate nutrition is vital for a robust immune system. Bariatric patients may be at a higher risk of infections, making it essential to support their immune function through proper supplementation. 5️⃣. Long-Term Success: Bariatric surgery is a tool for weight loss, but long-term success depends on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Supplements contribute to sustained well-being, ensuring patients can enjoy the full benefits of their weight loss journey. Contact Nairobi Bariatric Centre to schedule a consultation .
