Kiss 100 radio host Cate Sidede now says she never wanted to be a radio host.

According to her, she always perceived herself as working in the corporate world.

In an intimate interview on the Segment 'Stories in Stereo' with Michelle Akwe, Cate shared

"I did media studies in Uni but radio was never on my horizon until someone aroused my interest. It was not something I wanted to do.

I wanted to join corporate communication.

Radio came up and I decided to give it a try.

I started doing Voice Overs, I got into a few competitions but along the way, I chickened out of a few competitions.

I did not feel like I was good enough.

I auditioned but did not make it, but it made me feel like I could do it."

What was her defining moment?

"Two/three years into it, people started validating what I do."

What makes the Mid-morning show stand out for her?

" I love being on the Morning Show because I am alone.

I control the vibe, and come up with content. I am the one to decide.

The listeners are also the best thing, they are like my co-hosts.

There is a fulfillment to being given such freedom."

Cate has been with Kiss 100 for six years and an year with Smooth FM which is also owned by Radio Africa Group.
