One song in Bien's new album gets Nameless in trouble with Wahu

• The couple that has been married for 17 years enjoy great banter with each other.

Legendary Kenyan singer David Mathenge, better known by his stage as Nameless, has revealed the reason for the perception that he has never composed a love ballad or dedicated a song to his wife, the renowned musician Wahu.

This came up when Wahu complained that, in their 17 years of marriage, her husband had never written a song specifically for her. Crazy, huh?

Wahu and her husband had attended Bien's album launch, "Alusa Why Are You Topless." During the event, the mother of three was asked in a media interview which song from the album was her favourite.

She used this as an opportunity to publicly criticise her husband.

“My favourite on Bien’s album is the song he wrote for his wife..." started the 'Sweet Love' crooner.

She went on to cheekily add; "I was asking myself, why is it that my husband has not written a song dedicated to me, what’s up with that?”

Nameless who happened to be by her side was appalled by his wife's statement.

Defending himself, Nameless rubbished her claims revealing he has written so many songs dedicated to Wahu, the only downside or main reason why people do not know this is the sheer fact that he has never explicitly mentioned her in the tunes like Bien did with Chiki.

“Do you know how many songs I have written for my beautiful wife? it’s just that I haven’t said Wahu," Nameless said in his defense.

The artist who also doubles as an architect went on to add that most of his music is inspired by his wife.

"Listen, the songs I have done inspired by this girl (Wahu) are very many and I thank her for inspiring me. But she knows I can’t put her name there (on the records), for various artistic reasons," the father of 3 adorably said.

He changed his approach and went for his wife, asking why he hadn't received a devotion as well.

These two are so incredibly adorable! Nameless continued by saying that his wife had only ever devoted diss recordings to him.

He continued by mentioning two of her previous hits. The pair was still dating when the two were released more than ten years ago;

Nameless laughed and remarked, "If anything, why hasn't she recorded one dedicated to me as well?"
