"By the time they were coming up, I think I had been maybe  8/9 years in and because nilikuwa nimeshajua how the industry. Yaani the challenges I knew when people were coming ambapo nikiona watu wanakuja nawaeka I know they were a brother like me.

I want to share my experience kwa hivyo I tell you something ndio you don't repeat a mistake, I keep telling my brothers I want to see people who do better than even us, we want a newer person when they come in they do even better than Sauti Sol. That means the industry is becoming better."

"Sisi ni pioneers, pioneers make mistakes and even them they are pioneers in their generations, So for me tumekuwa close nao we talk, we not only talk about music, we talk about life.

We talk about investments we talk about reinventions we talk about all these things because ni kitu all of us tumeexperience. So for me, these guys are like my younger brothers and brothers that I respect."

When he was asked what he had learned from Sauti Sol over the years, the singer said they taught him how to structure and manage things.

"They are very organised, they are the guys I can say for sure showed me how you can structure they were already four people so they needed a lot of structure and management. Even now I'm able to create a record label. Us in our time it was about self-management unafanya vitu kivyako but the new generation after that became more structured that's why unaona wanaeza fanya kitu kubwa kama hii cause they've built a team around."
