This great reveal comes at a time when Mpasho has learnt that the couple is planning to have a white wedding this coming week.
"Zarinah Hassan and Shakib Lutaaya cordially invite you to share in the joy and celebration of their wedding day. Date: 3 October 2023. Time: 1200. Your presence on this special day will make our celebration unforgettable," read the invitation letter signed by Zari and Shakib.
The event that will be held in South Africa will be attended by a few guests who have been invited and many details about it will be kept private. It is not clear why the couple has kept their wedding a big secret.
Shakib was born in Kampala, Uganda in December 1992 and grew up there before moving to South Africa later in life to earn a living. Little information about his family, history, and personal life is known.
Zari was also born in Uganda in the town of Jinja to Ugandan parents Nasur and Halima Hassan. Her maternal grandfather is Indian while her grandmother is from Uganda, probably the reason for her fair skin.
The couple met in South Africa several years ago and were friends before reuniting last year. The two legalized their long-term union in an Islamic wedding (Nikah) in April this year.
