Love truly is all around us. Former BBC Africa presenter Ciru Muriuki is engaged. Sharing a life update video with her boo, Ciru gave a glimpse of her engagement ring while telling her fans what has changed in her life.
"So nothing bad happened? You didn't wreck it? You didn't hit anybody? You didn't run anybody over? You didn't get a speeding ticket?" goes the TikTok audio.
Ciru makes a funny face as the audio continues, "Why are you making that face? Did you get a speeding ticket?" Ciru shakes her head and shows off her engagement ring on her left hand.
She nods her head to a person not visible on the camera and he appears. The gushy Instagram post from Ciru made him smile as he pointed at the glimpse of the ring. Ciru tagged content creator Charles Gouda.
Her close friends commented that they have been eagerly awaiting for her to announce it so that they can express it publicly.
Apparently, the pair have been keeping their plans incredibly private, until they were ready for the big public announcement.

The couple's exciting news comes soon after Ciru shared that she had lost a massive amount of weight using the gastric balloon.
On August 22, she said that she had cut down her weight from 98kgs to 78kilos.
The massive transformation was documented in pictures where she told of the delight she felt finally wearing a jumpsuit she had struggled to wear.
"I was only able to fit into this jumpsuit this year after 4 years... And I wore it today for the second time this year, I've lost even more weight."
