Kenyan singer Shyboy Ghetto Taikun has a legion of musical fans. His music has also inspired many to love the genres he sings. Shyboy is a Dandora-based singer who looks a lot like Boutross Munene.
Residents confuse him a lot for Boutross when he is walking around, "They see me and say there is that guy for the song 'Angie'. Cheki I don't look like him tafadhali. Boutross ndio anafanana na mimi. Yeye ndio anafanana na mimi unaona. Please don't confuse that. When I look at our pictures naona huu msee ndio ananiibia luku," he jokingly laughed at the claims in an interview with Plug TV.
His genre of music? "I am like Nyashinski, niko zote bring me any and I will pull it off but when I started I was more like hip hop, I looked up to Octopizzo, if hip hop was a person, it is him."
He loves how people comment about them being lookalikes, but adds Boutross copies him. Shyboy also described himself as the most tattoed artiste in Kenya and added that people should not think he is Illuminati for it.
"Ni luku it's a lifestyle. God exists and at the end of the day we will be judged by our faith," he said.
He added that doing tattoos is an addictive habit he has acquired, and won't stop until his entire body is filled with them.
"If I see a space on my body I am tempted to add, plus I have the equipment so if I check myself out in the mirror and see a gap, I feel tempted."
Shyboy is a tattoo artiste dedicating them to guns and angels over the lifestyle he has lived in his hood. that haunts him.
"Roho ni safi, sura ndio chafu," he said in his defense.
