Kenya has been ranked as the second best English-speaking African Country after South Africa which emerged top.

Third on the list is Nigeria followed closely by Ghana, and Uganda who make up the top 5 on the list.

The Education First English Proficiency Index (EF EPI) strives to rank countries based on the equity of English language skills among people who have taken the EF test.

Based on test results from 2.1 million adults in 111 countries and regions published on the EF EPI website, the countries evaluated for the ranking are classified as non-native English speaking.

In the meanwhile, the rankings are divided into five categories: very high proficiency, high proficiency, moderate proficiency, low proficiency, and very low proficiency.
