• Just as Kenyans got used to him in normal suits, he has recently unleashed a new look by often donning Kaunda suits.

The newfound fondness of President William Ruto for Kaunda suits has undoubtedly raised eyebrows in Kenya.

Every time the President is seen in public, he is renowned for having impeccable grooming.

Just as Kenyans grew accustomed to seeing him in regular suits, he recently debuted a fresh appearance by frequently donning Kaunda suits.

Many people have been surprised by this. Discussions over Ruto's new way of clothing have taken over social media posts with pictures.

The president has frequently appeared at public events wearing a Kaunda suit, despite the fact that he has been worn different colors.

The President was accustomed to donning a formal suit and tie, with black blazers, white shirts, and red ties, unlike prior years.

On a trip, Ruto was first spotted wearing a Kaunda suit.

He then came out in a black Kaunda suit and a fedora on a tour to Nakuru. attracting people's attention.

Since then, the President has stepped out in Kaunda suits save for the times he attends specific events like sports.

He was seen dressed in a full safari rally regalia in Naivasha when he flagged off the 2023 WRC Safari Rally.

Widely known as safari or moo suits, the Kaunda suit is said to have originated in Australia in the 1970s.

It was the uniform of the British Army during the Second Boer War in South Africa. 

Kaunda suit has a shirt with two pockets on the chest and two on the waist.

It is seen as a symbol of African solidarity and patriotism.
