DJ Krowbar has revealed he once turned down a contract worth 4 million.
This was after the people involved asking him to over quote so that they could get a 3 million kick back.
He says he has no regret over what he did.
Sharing his experience during an interview with Cate Rira ion her POV podcast, Krowbar said
"I walked away from 4 million bob.
I was called to be a brand ambassador going to the room it was filled with people, around 7-10 people.
It was a two-three year deal.
We sat down and agreed to charge four million. A few weeks later two people who were in that meeting called me for lunch.
They told me to up my quotation to 7 million so that once the deal was through I was to give them 3 million.
They wanted me to over quote so that they could get a kick back."
Krowbar refused to do so and instead decided to let go the contract all together.
"I said no because because what if my kid one day asks me how I achieved something and I had to tell them I did.
If they knew how I made the money, They would end up looking at me differently.
I went back home and told my wife about it. I wanted to be able to account for what we have. We live in a world that is materialistic."
Krowbar says people should learn how to be contented.
"Money is a tool, that helps you get what you want. It is not everything."
Years later Krowbar met wife to one of the guys who had wanted him to help steal from the company.
" She told me what I did changed her husband's life.
In his mind I was a fool for turning down the offer, the good thing is that the man now lives for Christ.
If I had taken the cash my reputation would have been dented."
