Isuzu unveils new dweserty orange truck in honor of Olympic marathon champion ELiud Kipchoge

Japanese motor house Isuzi Motors has just unveiled its newest pick up truck of 2023, the new Eliud Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition Isuzu D-Max pick up truck in honor of the record breaking Kenyan athlete Eliud KIpchoge.

The Eliud Kipchoge 1;59 Isuzu D-Max comes from the INEOS 1;50 Challenge that the marathon runner took  part in back in October 12th, 2019. The challenge was held in Austria and saw Kipchoge make history as the first man ever to run a marathon in under 2 hours.

Kipchoge made record after completing the track  in a record time of 1:59:41, that was a close one but our man did it!

Following the unveiling Isuzu announced that the two-time Olympic marathon champion winner would be the very first person to drive the first special edition 001.

The new Isuzu truck is a desert orange colored monster double door truck and only a total of 159 units will be available for purchase in the single color. Every unit will have customized Eliud Kipchoge signatures engraved on it. 

“This is indeed a great milestone on my career journey. I am deeply humbled by this gesture,” said Kipchoge during the unveiling.

Speaking during the launch, the firm’s managing director, Rita Kavashe heaped praises on the father of 3 for his stellar performances and for putting Kenya on the world map, a move she maintains has motivated investors to troop into the country.

“In view of this remarkable achievement, the only way to honor Eliud is to come up with this top-of-the-line product,” Rita Kavashe said.

This comes in just 4 months after the father of 4 was announced as Tecno mobile brand ambassador for its upcoming flagship model Phantom X2.

Speaking at the Global Trade Center (GTC) during the launch, Tecno brand retail manager Anthony Brian Otieno said Phantom is the world’s pioneering brand in terms of technology that takes lead in research and development of the world’s most valuable business products.

"Phantom has new flagship species that is differentiated with technological development path. These include its stylish experience, extraordinary experience, and innovative technology," Otieno said.

Eliud Kipchoge said he is big on conservation and environment, with the tenets of the two clearly entrenched as core values of his foundation.

"I am excited to partner with the world’s pioneer in innovation and technology to achieve this. Environmental protection is the most important part of protecting the next generation.

The Phantom series devices are made from recyclable materials which makes the partnership golden," Kipchoge said.
