• Giraffe manor trending on Twitter

• Netizens on Twitter have come out with testimonies expressing their dissatisfaction with the facility.

On Tuesday, Giraffe Manor an exclusive boutique hotel owned by The Safari Collection was trending on Twitter.

A video posted on Tiktok by user Susanflyermd found itself on Twitter over allegations that the employee of the facility was being racist.

In the said video, the first lady spoke to the employee using a Kenyan accent via phone call and asked about the availability of a slot at the manor for specific dates and was told its not available.

Then her friend went ahead to speak to an employee on another call in an American accent and she inquired about the availability of the same dates her friend had asked about and to the surprise of many she got the space.

Netizens on Twitter took to express their dissatisfaction with how the management handled the situation.

Apparently, this is not the first time this particular establishment is facing the same allegations.

Some of the influential people also took to express their concern over the matter and with more came out to give their experiences.

drey @Dreymwangi·6h·So if you call to book for a reservation at Giraffe Manor and they hear you have a Kenyan accent you are told that they are fully booked but when you do it with another accent like the American one your reservation is done very fast, racism in our own country? It’s 2023
