Kenyans react after Gachagua said "Am happy a roll of bhang is now going for Sh400"

• The prices of weed are determined by their content.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed his joy after the price of weed went high.

According to Riggy G, a roll of weed is now going for Ksh 400, from the mere 100 bob it was selling for before.

Speaking in his excitement at the reduced number of people doing weed,he shared

“I am so happy that a roll of bhang that was going at Sh100 is now going for Sh400. That is good progress. - DP Rigathi Gachagua."

According to the findings of the NACADA survey, 'bhang' ranked fourth among the most abused drugs in the country, trailing only alcohol, tobacco, and khat.

Here is the breakdown of the counties

Nairobi - 6.3 percent

Nyanza - 2.4 percent

Coast - 1.9 Percent

Eastern- 1.5 percent

According to the report, the national prevalence of cannabis use is 1.9 percent.

Cannabis use was found to be highest in men, at 3.9 percent, with women coming in at 0.3 percent.

According to NACADA, online sales of alcohol and other drugs have increased drug abuse in the country, complicating the fight against substance abuse.
